I remember picking out my clothes on Sunday night – my mother always said it was best to be prepared for the week so lay out your clothes the night before. As I stood in front of my closet staring at the sea of choices, but not really looking.
I was already stressing over the conference call with DEP at 915 and then the estate client that wanted more of her dead father’s money than her other sisters.
I hope the clothes I picked out went with the shoes that might match – who buys a navy pair of shoes that you already have in black… this dumb ass… and yep I mixed them up fairly regularly…. often enough to spur me to keep an extra pair in the trunk of my car so I could change them when I noticed.
I was exhausted from the normal weekend chaos, but as I lay in bed, all I could think about was all the stuff I hadn’t gotten too from last week…. as it was screaming my name already.
ENOUGH!!!! I can’t do this for the next 30+ years…. Seriously, I need peace! And this path is stealing any that I had. So I started grounding and tripping down my spiritual path toward fulfillment.
Tripping is probably a graceful description of my journey. It wasn’t smooth nor was it pretty… so that is why I have pledged to hold the lantern for women on this journey. A little light shining from a lantern ahead of you is priceless.
