The one constant about my self-care routine is that it is ever evolving. I have my trusty go-to’s –
1. Epsom salt bath;
2. Meditation in Nature (even when it’s snowing);
3. Mushroom coffee Latte with Coconut Milk.I also have a list of options including anything that feels right in the moment.
This morning I woke up, feeling a little off and I knew that I needed grounding. Grounding never hurts and is rather simple to accomplish – the trick is in staying grounded. Instead of my morning coffee, I knew I needed something different, so I made beet, spinach and ginger juice. Then I added a little essential oil aromatherapy with Vetiver – it smells like dirt and I LOVE it!!!
Other mornings, or evenings, I find pulling out my crystals to be just the right space to meditate or just be in. I am by nature a doer, so just being is sometimes the most challenging thing that I need in the moment.
Self-care can sometimes feel isolating because it seems like you do it at the exclusion of others. But the truth is that sometimes the best self-care you can employ is time with like-minded sisters. Allow the support and love, that only other women on a similar path can understand, to wash over you and nourish you in all the spaces and places that you have been neglecting.
If you are looking for a community to build a connection with, drop me a note. I participate in many and host some, too. We would love to have you join us.
