Archangel Gabriel

Archangels are from the third triad of Angels and have never been incarnated in human form – with the exception of Metatron… he’s pretty cool – we will talk about him one day soon. Archangels also really have no gender. They present to us in identifiable forms with which we can associate, so we see them or think of them as men or women depending on our perception and the situation we are encountering. Archangel is from the Greek meaning chief messenger – they have information and help to offer us… we just need to ask.

Gabriel appears in Judaism and modern Christianity as the messenger of God. She is the Catholic patron saint of communication workers… I’d say that includes what I do – explains my interest in her. She is often depicted with feminine features and is also called upon for Divine Feminine support and parenting assistance. One of the primary concerns of Gabriel is children – especially sensitive children. The color/metal associated with Gabriel is copper, so if you are noticing copper more frequently or being drawn to it, perhaps you should be working with this Archangel.

 

Gabriel also appears to Muhammad with revelations from God, which have become the Quran… that’s a pretty significant role this angel has played in the evolution of the major world religions. 

 

In our everyday lives, we can request Archangel Gabriel’s guidance for things we need to get done. She helps us overcome procrastination and assists us in moving forward with completing projects, especially writing projects. Gabriel is also known to assist us see our intuition more clearly and identify what may unfold for us. 

 

The best way to communicate and request assistance and guidance is through meditation. The answers sometimes appear to us as conscious thoughts, but can also appear in dreams. Have you ever woken up in the morning with something on your mind that had no reason to be there. Happens to me all the time. Recently I woke up with unexplained motivation to resolve a situation at work, so first thing I prepared an email to the other party and before I pressed send, an email arrived from her offering a reasonable solution – I will admit more reasonable than my email was. In this circumstance, I did not specifically request Gabriel’s help on this matter but I have been working with her for a while now and have made general requests to her – so she directed me to move toward resolution and completion. 

 

My most recent request of Gabriel was assistance with the delivery of yak calves. Last year one of my prettiest yaks had a still born calf and neither of us could go through that again…
